Timberwolves vs. Warriors
The Minnesota Timberwolves have scored first in two of the first three games of this series. Behind Rudy Gobert, Minnesota only won 48% of tips in the regular season. However, it’s unclear who he’ll tip off against tonight. The Warriors have used Draymond Green to start the series, but had Trayce Jackson-Davis start at center in Game 3. Either way, Gobert has the edge, no matter who he faces.
Ultimately, Golden State has allowed the first basket to small forwards and power forwards 23% of the time. In addition, Jaden McDaniels and Julius Randle scored the first baskets for the Timberwolves in this series. All of that checks out.
While McDaniels had nine first baskets in the regular season, Julius Randle took the team’s first field goal attempt in 20% of games and added six first baskets this season. Randle and McDaniels are both good options, but I’ll side with Randle.
Pick: Julius Randle (+600)
