Thunder vs. Nuggets
- Leg 1: Alex Caruso Under 9.5 Points (-111)
- Leg 2: Jamal Murray Under 19.5 Points (-104)
- Leg 3: Nikola Jokic Over 8.5 Assists (-115)
The Oklahoma City Thunder brought in Alex Caruso in the offseason, essentially swapping him for Josh Giddey. Caruso will see an increased role and should put up better numbers than last season. That said, the Nuggets were very good defensively against guards the previous year. Throughout the season, Denver allowed teams to shoot just 48.27% from the field and watched opponents shoot just 26.98% from downtown.
Caruso could have some big games down the line. But it won’t be tonight.
On the other hand, I’ll take Jamal Murray to go Under 19.5 points. He’s already facing a Thunder team that held point guards to shoot just 43.6% from the field last year. Murray has hit at least 20 points in only two of 11 games against the Thunder dating back to the 2022 season.
While the assists might not be for Jamal Murray, I still like Jokic to tally some up in the box score. Jokic added at least nine assists in 55% of his last 20 games last year. He also hit this line in 47 of 91 games. Oklahoma City was 28th in assists allowed to centers and allowed 5.54 offensive rebounds per game. Jokic should have plenty of opportunity to make plays for his teammates tonight.
Odds: +529
