NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (10/25/24)

Regular season record: 2-7

Davion Mitchell (G – TOR): OVER 12.5 points

Davion Mitchell is an easy tap at 12.5 if Immanuel Quickley is ruled out for tonight's contest. Quickley is currently listed as day-to-day and will likely be a game time decision, but if he misses the contest as expected, Mitchell should get all the minutes he can handle in the backcourt. The Raptors will also be without RJ Barrett, Bruce Brown, and JaKobe Walter. Jamal Shead will also pick up some point guard minutes, but Mitchell should see time at both the one and the two. Look elsewhere if Quickley does end up playing, but if he does not, lock this in when the final word on his status for Friday night is released.

Onyeka Okongwu (F/C – ATL): OVER 11.5 points

Onyeka played 28 minutes of action against Brooklyn, scoring 28 points on an outstanding 11 of 12 shooting from the field. The Hawks are expected to make more of an effort to feature Onyeka this season, and him playing more minutes than Clint Capela in the opener is a promising sign. The total here is set low enough to dance with, especially against a team like Charlotte, who are similarly undersized in the frontcourt. Opt for the More on Onyeka for Friday night's action.

Donovan Mitchell (G – CLE): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

Mitchell scored just 21 points in the opener against the Toronto Raptors, taking just 14 shots while draining five of his seven attempts from the charity stripe. Mitchell should be a near lock for another 20 point night against a team like the Detroit Pistons. Donovan scored 20 and 45 points in his two games against the Pistons last season and should look for his shot early in this one. Dap the More on Donovan for Friday night at Sleeper Picks.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
