This week’s Sunday Night Football game has more intrigue than anyone could have projected earlier this year. The Vikings and Broncos have played high-quality football lately, with both defenses stepping up. As a result, two legs of the upcoming same-game parlay (SGP) are defensive-minded selections. The final two legs are focused on rushing production.

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Vikings at Broncos SGP
- Leg 1: Broncos Under 24.5 Points (-192)
- Leg 2: Vikings Under 24.5 Points (-250)
- Leg 3: Javonte Williams 50+ Rushing Yards (-380)
- Leg 4: Joshua Dobbs 25+ Rushing Yards (-255)
Denver’s offense is the B-side of their three-game winning streak. The Broncos haven’t bested 24 points since Week 4, scoring 21, 8, 19, 24 and 24 points since scoring 31 against the Bears in Week 4. However, Denver has held four straight opponents under 20 points.
For the season, the Broncos’ median is 21 points scored and 22 points against them. They’ve scored fewer than 24.5 points in seven of nine games and haven’t allowed over 24.5 points since Week 5.
The Vikings are on a five-game winning streak. They’ve scored 58 points in the previous two games. However, they’ve still fallen short of 24.5 points in seven of 10 contests, with a median of 23.
Minnesota’s defense is rock-solid, allowing under 24.5 points in six of 10 games, including four of their last five. Defensive coordinator Brian Flores has the defense humming with the NFL’s most blitz-heavy scheme. According to Pro-Football-Reference, the Vikings have an eye-popping 49.0% blitz rate this year.
Their propensity to blitz is terrible news for Russell Wilson. The veteran quarterback is PFF’s 29th-ranked passer among 34 quarterbacks who’ve dropped back at least 40 times against the blitz this season. As a result, the Broncos might struggle to pass.
Fortunately for them, Sean Payton loves the running game. According to RotoViz’s pace app, the Broncos have run on 56% of their plays in a neutral game script in their previous four games. They also ran on 54% of plays in a neutral game script in their only game after their bye in Week 9.
Javonte Williams should be busy as Denver’s lead running back. He’s handled 77.8% of Denver’s running backs’ rushing opportunities in their last three games, toting the rock 63 times for 246 yards. The matchup is challenging for Williams. Still, he’s cleared 50 rushing yards in four consecutive games, reaching at least 79 in three straight. FantasyPros is projecting Williams for 66.4 rushing yards against the Vikings.
Joshua Dobbs is having a remarkably entertaining season, adding value to his offense with his legs. The veteran quarterback is averaging 36.8 rushing yards per game this season, with a median of 43.5 rushing yards. Dobbs had 66 and 44 rushing yards in two games with the Vikings, reaching at least 25 in five straight and eight of his last nine games.
Finally, head coach Kevin O’Connell is incorporating Dobbs’s running into the offense. According to The 33rd Team, Dobbs had two designed runs in Week 10. He’s also scrambled 11 times in two games for the Vikings. FantasyPros projects Dobbs for 33.2 rushing yards against the Broncos.
