WNBA Best Bets & Picks for Saturday: Sparks vs. Lynx

Los Angeles Sparks vs. Minnesota Lynx Picks

Starting the day off at noon on CBS, the Los Angeles Sparks will face the reigning champs, the Minnesota Lynx. The Lynx are coming off their first loss of the season, but they are a 10-point favorite, with the total hovering around 164.

I'm excited to have the Lynx on this slate because they are fun to watch. Napheesa Collier is the clear front-runner for MVP around -350 right now, leading the team in points, rebounds and steals. Until losing on the road at Seattle, Minnesota had been steamrolling, with over half their wins coming by 11+ points. Their defensive rating also jumps significantly at home. I know it's only a four-game sample size, but it's still notable.

Los Angeles' offense is solid and is keeping this team afloat, but they've yet to show any real firepower. On the road early in the season, they got whomped by the Lynx by 14 points. In Vegas, when the Aces weren't fully healthy, the Sparks couldn't keep up, and all their wins are against subpar squads.

I think we can all see where I'm going here. Minnesota needs to be respected more as a simple double-digit favorite because this will be another showcase for why they are arguably the best team in the league.

Pick: Lynx -10 (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
