Sunday's Best WNBA Picks & Bets

New York Liberty-Connectict Suns Under 161.5 Points + Liberty Moneyline Parlay (-115) WNBA Picks & Bets

The New York Liberty aim to secure their second championship in as many years. They are one of only two undefeated teams left this season, winning their first six contests.
New York’s opponent today, the Connecticut Sun, is coming off their first win of the season, a narrow two-point victory against the Indiana Fever on the road. This contest will be a completely different matchup for Connecticut, and one that does not bode well for the young and growing squad.
The Liberty have come out of the gate throwing haymakers, and the rest of the league seemingly has no answer yet. New York presents a difficult matchup for the Sun considering their size, pace, depth and shooting. The Liberty are scoring over 90 points per game, which leads the WNBA.
The Sun scored 80+ points in back-to-back contests. However, the opponents Connecticut has faced over that span leave quite a bit to be desired defensively. Dallas and Indiana both allow over 80 points per game, while the Wings own the third-highest defensive rating.
After letting go of most of their talent from last season, the Connecticut Sun unfortunately do not possess the weapons to keep up with the Liberty on offense. On the other side of the floor, New York is a cohesive defensive unit, conceding the fewest amount of points per game, while owning the lowest defensive rating in the WNBA.

Seattle Storm Moneyline (+126) WNBA Picks & Bets

We'd be lying if we didn't state there is something a tad peculiar about this line given the previous matchup between the Storm and Aces. Not only that, but Seattle is hosting this contest. They only recently suffered their first home loss against the Dream on Friday. The Last time these two teams matched up in Seattle earlier this season, the result was a 20-point thrashing for the Storm.
Las Vegas is currently 3-2 on the season, with only one road win against a Connecticut team that just won their first game on Friday. The Aces have not proven to be a strong road team to date, and Seattle is averaging 17 more points at home compared to when playing on the road.
The Aces allow over eight more points as the away team, while home opponents connect on over 4% more of their field goals when playing Las Vegas. When on the road, the Aces take a 15% hit in terms of percentage of points scored off turnovers, while only shooting 38.6% from the field.
If the Aces are unable to score off forced turnovers, shoot under 40% from the field as a team and allow the Storm to make nearly an extra 5% of their attempts, this is going to be another tough day for Las Vegas in Seattle. We will side with the plus action and back the Storm to win this contest.

Skylar Diggins Over 23.5 Points + Assists (-118) WNBA Picks & Bets

Skylar Diggins is performing at a mid-season comfort level over the first six games of the season for Seattle. The six-time All-Star is averaging a stout 19 points and 6.8 dimes, while connecting on 47.4% of attempts from the field. She is also shooting a powerful 43.8% from beyond the arc.
Digginss has scored at least 20+ points in four out of six games this season, and has finished with eight or more assists in three of those contests. The Aces were able to contain the scoring of the veteran out of Notre Dame in their first matchup earlier this season. However, Diggins dished out eight assists in only 29 minutes due to the large disparity in score going into the fourth quarter. This should be a closer matchup, which would allow more opportunities to score.
Diggins has accumulated a combination of 24 points and assists in three out of six contests this season, and is averaging three more assists when playing at home. The Seattle guard is recording 18 points and 8.3 dimes per game when on the Storm's home court.

Phoenix Mercury-Los Angeles Sparks Under 160 Points (-110) WNBA Picks & Bets

The Sparks continue to look for some consistency through the first seven games of the season. Los Angeles has shown the team is highly capable of scoring in bunches at times, yet has fallen flat in more contests than not. In the case of Phoenix, the Mercury can light up the scoreboard when playing at home. However, when on the road, the scoring is much less prevalent.
Phoenix is averaging over 10 fewer points when playing on the road compared to being at home. The Mercury takes seven fewer shots from beyond the arc on the road, while attempting nine fewer free throws. The Sparks are putting up 3.7 fewer points when at home, as the team drops 2% in regards to field-goal percentage.
Los Angeles and Phoenix combine for 150.3 points when the Mercury are on the road, and the Sparks are on their home floor. Both teams drop in field-goal percentage in these situations, while Los Angeles has only exceeded 80+ points in two out of four home games.
With Alyssa Thomas already ruled out for this contest, things get even more troublesome for the Mercury offensively. The 160-point total is too high for this contest.

Minnesota Lynx Winning at End of Every Quarter (-110) WNBA Picks & Bets

The Minnesota Lynx may once again be without the services of star player Napheesa Collier, who is dealing with a knee ailment. That did not deter the Lynx from picking up the win against the Mercury on Friday, as Minnesota improved to 5-0 on the season.
The Valkyries are an expansion team, so it's going to take time for any chemistry to be present early on. Golden State, unfortunately, lacks the defensive prowess it will take to contain the scoring options on the Lynx, even if Collier is not on the floor. This will make the prospect of having a lead at the end of any quarter highly improbable.
Kayla McBride, the ultimate McBucket, is back on the floor for Minnesota and will most likely inherit the scoring reins if Collier is once again unable to suit up. McBride has scored a combined 35 points in her two games played this season, while knocking down at least three shots from beyond the arc on 46% shooting outside the perimeter.
Minnesota is coming off nearly winning the championship and has its sights set on making another trip to the WNBA Finals in 2025. The Lynx are playing near top form, while Golden State is still searching for identity and cohesion. Despite the possibility of not having their best player on the floor today, we still feel the Lynx can hold a lead throughout this contest.
Enjoy the games today and good luck with your picks.
