NFL Player Props, Picks & Predictions: Bills vs. Raiders

Here are some of Andrew Erickson’s top picks for GAME. And check out all of his top picks for NFL Week 6.

Best Bets for Bills vs. Raiders

I like the Over. The Raiders’ loss to the Patriots said more about the Patriots than the Raiders. Las Vegas is very boom-or-bust on defense, and when its pressure doesn’t get home, it gives up explosive downfield plays. Drake Maye had plenty of time to throw, even after Will Campbell got hurt.

When you play the Buffalo Bills, saddle up, as there are going to be a lot of explosive plays. Josh Allen indoors is a rare occurrence, and I expect it to remind us how much fun he is on fast turf with all of these playmakers.

Buffalo games average 61.0 combined points and are 4-1 to the Over. Las Vegas games average 52.2, and the Raiders are on a three-game Over streak.

Seth Woolcock dropped this as one of his best bets for Week 6, riding the over in Sin City.

I tend to agree, given that these high-total games have not closed high enough so far this season.

Through Week 5, games with a closing total of 50+ points are 7-2 to the Over (78%). Dropping the cutoff to 49.5 makes it 9-2 across 11 games.

Best NFL Same Game Parlay for Bills vs. Raiders

Here is our top NFL same game parlay for Bills vs. Raiders. And you can view all of our Week 6 NFL same game parlays.

Buffalo-Las Vegas has "high-scoring shootout" written all over it. The total is in the 50s, but the over is still our pick to anchor the parlay. The Bills allow the third-most total yards per game while giving up 28.2 points per contest. Meanwhile, the Raiders are giving up 25.8 points per game (PPG) and allow the sixth-most total yards.

We should see both offenses have success in this game, especially indoors. Buffalo's offense is fourth in total yards per game while averaging a league-high 32.8 PPG. Las Vegas, though, will be up for the challenge and take advantage of the Bills' shaky defense. The Raiders are scoring 26.4 PPG this year.

Let's continue the shootout theme with Brock Bowers, who could be in for a big game. The Raiders' stud tight end has put up 116, 86 and 110 receiving yards in his three games back from injury. Kirk Cousins is targeting him heavily, with Bowers seeing 10+ targets in each game. He now faces a Bills defense that's allowing the ninth-most receiving yards per game to tight ends. The secondary is dealing with multiple injuries at nickel corner.

On the Buffalo side, let’s back James Cook. The Raiders are allowing the fourth-most rushing yards per game to running backs this year, at 116 per contest. Las Vegas also ranks dead last in the league in rushing yards allowed before contact. That bodes well for Cook, who already has three 100-yard games. He's also averaging over 100 yards per game.

What is an NFL player prop bet?

An NFL player prop bet is a type of wager where you’re betting on the performance of a specific player in a game rather than the overall outcome. For example, you might place a bet on how many passing yards a quarterback will throw for, or how many touchdowns a running back will score. It’s a fun way to get more invested in the action, especially if you’re confident in how a particular player will perform, regardless of who wins or loses the game. It’s like focusing on one slice of the pie instead of the whole thing.
