Columbia vs. Mexico

Mexico gets set for its first game of the tournament on Saturday night, and they'll square off against Columbia. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET from Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.

The starting pitching matchup sees Julio Urías for Mexico while Nabil Crismatt gets the nod for the Columbians.

For me, that's almost enough to lock in Mexico -1.5. Urías dominated the MLB in 2022, going 17-7 with a 2.16 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over 31 starts. That outstanding performance earned him a third-place finish in the Cy Young voting.

However, it's not all arms for the Mexicans. They also boast a very respectable lineup featuring Randy Arozarena, Alex Verdugo, Austin Barnes, and Alek Thomas. All things considered, I see Mexico coming out with a bang and stretching this lead out by several runs.
