Tuesday’s Best MLB Betting System Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

MLB DET Away – Moneyline

The Detroit Tigers have looked like the best team in the American League. This system proves it.

The Tigers have earned a 4.9% return on investment (ROI) and a 52% win percentage on the Moneyline away from home dating back to last year.

Tonight, the Tigers will have Tarik Skubal on the mound. The left-handed ace has struck out 33.5% of batters and walked only 2.8% of batters. He’s also allowed a .090 ISO and wOBA of .246 against his first 212 batters.

Meanwhile, Skubal will face a Cardinals lineup that has only added a .144 ISO and wOBA of .289 against lefties over the last 30 days. Five batters in the Cardinals’ lineup have struck out at least 23.9% of the time over the last month against lefties. Skubal should earn another quality start tonight.

On the other hand, it’ll be Erick Fedde for the Cardinals. He’s limited 216 batters to a .106 ISO and wOBA of .297. However, he’s also struck out fewer than 15% of batters and has allowed 48.1% of hard contact with an 11.6% walk rate.

The Tigers have also hit significantly better against righties over the last month than the Cardinals have against lefties. The Tigers’ lineup has hit a .196 ISO and wOBA of .355 with only 21.3% of strikeouts as a projected group.

Therefore, we’ll side with the Tigers on the Moneyline at -180 odds.

Pick: Tigers Moneyline (-180)

Fade the Sox

This system looks to fade the Chicago White Sox on the run line. As long as the opposing team has a line of -101 or higher probability, it’s good to take the other team on the run line. If you did that for a year, you’d be up 6% with nearly 10 units of profit.

The Mariners are -1.5 (-108) against the spread (ATS) tonight against the White Sox.

Seattle will send out Jhonathan Diaz, a lefty pitcher, who hasn’t had many reps this season. However, last year, he limited 47 batters to only 19.4% of line drives and just 6.4% of walks, which is appealing.

Meanwhile, the White Sox have hit a .161 ISO and wOBA of .294 against lefties over the last 30 days using their projected lineup.

Conversely, Bryse Wilson will take the hill for the White Sox. Wilson has allowed a .235 ISO and wOBA of .415 to his first 155 batters this season. He’s struggled against both sides of the plate, earning only 12.3% of strikeouts overall.

The Mariners have enough power to take advantage.

Pick: Mariners -1.5 (-102)

MLB Moneyline Away 6PM

This final system looks for teams on the road playing at 6:00 p.m. ET local time. It’s gained more than 18 units of profit over the last year and has earned a 5.6% ROI despite only winning 49% of the time.

Ultimately, to qualify, a team has to have a cost of -110 to +150. They also have to be on the road and coming off a loss, in which they didn’t cover the run line.

The Orioles lost 5-4 to the Brewers yesterday and fit the script today. They’ll have Keegan Akin take the mound tonight. The left-hander has held his first 53 righties to a .130 ISO and wOBA of .270. He’ll likely battle a Brewers lineup with six righties in it.

On the other hand, Logan Henderson will get another crack on the mound for the Brewers. The young right-hander has been excellent, with 40% of strikeouts against his first 40 batters. But that’s likely very unsustainable. The Orioles still have a lineup that has hit a .171 ISO and wOBA of .316 against righties over the last month.

Let’s take the Orioles to pull off a small upset at +105.

Pick: Orioles Moneyline (+105)
