(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Immanuel Quickley Over 17.5 Points (-118)
Immanuel Quickley has recorded at least 19 points in back-to-back games heading into this one. He’s played more than 33 minutes in three straight contests and has seen an uptick in his usage over the last three games.
Quickley has attempted nearly 14 shots per game over the last 10. He’s also shot 48.8% in those games and over 39% from three during that stretch.
That said, he’s facing a Portland squad ranked dead last in points allowed to point guards this season. The Trail Blazers are also 30th in field goals attempted and 30th in free throws made by point guards. Those are all great signs for Quickley tonight.
Anthony Edwards Over 29.5 Points (-118)
Anthony Edwards has surpassed 30 points in five straight games. During that stretch, he’s attempted about 23 shots per game and has hit 56.4% from the field. He’s also taken at least 10 triples in all but one game of the last five.
Tonight, Edwards will battle a Pelicans team ranked dead last in points allowed to shooting guards. The Pelicans have allowed the most three-pointers by shooting guards this season and rank dead last in field goals made by shooting guards.
With Edwards’ usage at 34% over the last five games, there’s no reason why Edwards should struggle to record 30+ points tonight.
Brandon Ingram Over 5.5 Rebounds (-112)
Ultimately, Brandon Ingram added just one rebound in 32 minutes against the Knicks last time out. However, he’s earned at least six rebounds in 67% of games this season. He’s also hit this line in four of his last five and six of his previous 10.
Over the last five games, Ingram has had 7.4 rebound chances per game. He only had four against the Knicks, but at least eight against all other teams. You’d have to figure his rebound chances will increase against the Trail Blazers. Portland ranks last in rebounds allowed to small forwards this season. They’re allowing a ton of defensive rebounds from small forwards, and Ingram should be able to take advantage.
Ingram has played over 36 minutes a night over the last five games, which will give him plenty of chances to grab rebounds. While he’s aggressive with his shot, Ingram doesn’t clean up the offensive glass much. But either way, he should get plenty of chances on the defensive side. Let’s take his over.
