Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Ausar Thompson Over 11.5 Points (-104)

Ausar Thompson has had back-to-back duds, posting no more than eight points in each of his last two games. However, he has still managed to score at least 12 points in 50% of games this season. He’s also hit this line in three of his last five games and six of his last 10 games.

Beyond that, Thompson has averaged 13 points per game over his last three games against the Lakers.

Meanwhile, the Lakers rank dead last in points allowed to small forwards. They’ve also given up the most free throws to small forwards this season. Thompson has averaged nearly three free throws made per game over the last 10 games. He’s also shot 53.6% during that stretch with almost nine shots per game. This should be a good spot for Thompson tonight.

Dennis Schroder Over 4.5 Assists (-146)

Dennis Schroder has played no more than 21 minutes in each of his last three games. However, despite being on the court for only 19 minutes against the Lakers last time out, Schroder still had seven assists on 11 potential assists.

Tonight, Schroder will face a Clippers team ranked 28th in assists allowed to point guards this season. Ultimately, the Kings have been one of the NBA’s worst teams. They’ve got no direction. But Schroder should still get his teammates involved at a pretty high rate against the Clippers based on the analytics.

At the end of the day, Schroder has earned nearly 10 potential assists per game over the last 10 games. If his teammates get him five made buckets on 10 potential assists, that would be enough to hit the over.

VJ Edgecombe Over 4.5 Rebounds (-136)

VJ Edgecombe finished with only two rebounds against the Oklahoma City Thunder. But don’t read too much into that. Most players and teams struggle when facing the Thunder. Before facing the Thunder, Edgecombe added seven rebounds against Chicago and six rebounds against Dallas.

That’s what we can expect tonight.

Edgecombe will face a Memphis team ranked 28th in total rebounds allowed to shooting guards this season. Plus, Edgecombe has averaged 9.1 rebound chances per game over the last 10 games and has earned at least 10 rebound chances in three of his previous five games. Against the Grizzlies, those rebound chances should be just as high.
