NFL Week 8 Confidence Pool Picks

(1) Cardinals | Cardinals vs. Cowboys

At the end of the day, these teams are pretty similar on paper. Dallas has the better passing game, but Arizona can run the ball better. I’ll take my chances with the Cardinals to pull off an upset.

(2) Browns | Browns vs. Steelers

Expect this divisional game to be tight and close throughout. I’ll take the underdog.

(3) Bills | Ravens vs. Bills

The Ravens desperately need Lamar Jackson back. But even then, I’m not sure he’ll be enough to get past the Bills.

(4) Eagles | Eagles vs. Commanders

I love taking the road underdog in divisional games. Philadelphia was competitive last week against Dallas. So there’s that.

(5) Chiefs | Chiefs vs. Broncos

If you think the Chiefs are going to put together back-to-back poor performances, you’re out of your mind!

(6) Seahawks | Bears vs. Seahawks

The defending champs looked much better last week. The defense is electric, and the offense just got a new piece from the Colts!

(7) Lions | Vikings vs. Lions

A 6-0 team looks worse on paper analytically than a 4-2 squad. Detroit’s defense has improved, so I’ll go with the Lions.

(8) Jets | Raiders vs. Jets

I’m not sure why I do this to myself, but give me the Jets at home. Geno Smith should have fun throwing against the Las Vegas secondary.

(9) Buccaneers | Falcons vs. Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield’s energy lifted the Bucs last weekend. It’ll be the same this weekend.

(10) Rams | Chargers vs. Rams

The Chargers should be competitive, but I still like the Rams in the Los Angeles battle.

(11) Patriots | Patriots vs. Dolphins

One divisional win is enough for the Dolphins this season.

(12) Jaguars | Colts vs. Jaguars

That historic selloff for the Colts this week tells the whole story. I’m on the Jaguars.

(13) Packers | Panthers vs. Packers

Coming off a dreadful performance on Sunday and having to play on Thursday isn’t ideal. Good luck, Panthers.

(14) Bengals | Titans vs. Bengals

The Bengals scored 35 unanswered points in the second half last week. That’s what they can do against the Titans.
