Early NFL Week 8 Parlay #1

Leg 1: Jordan Love 2+ Passing Touchdowns (-166)

We open the week with a safe parlay that starts on Thursday with the Carolina Panthers versus the Green Bay Packers. Jordan Love wasn't anywhere near his best on Sunday against the Lions. The Green Bay quarterback connected on 27-of-45 attempts. Yet, he still finished with 274 yards and two touchdowns. Love gets the benefit of home-field advantage this week, where he has thrown for at least two touchdowns in two out of three games.

Love has recorded two touchdown passes in all but one game this season. The total is currently set at 48 points. That means oddsmakers expect a ton of scoring. Given the high total, we expect Love to throw at least two touchdowns against the Panthers.

Leg 2: Carolina Panthers-Green Bay Packers Over 39.5 Points (-350)

As noted earlier, we expect a high-scoring game. We shaved a few points off the standard total of 48, just in case something unforeseen happens. The Panthers and Packers average 46.5 combined points this season. The Packers average 2.1 more points at home, while Carolina scores fewer than 26 points on the road.

Carolina has covered 40+ combined points in five out of six games. Green Bay has reached 40 total points in two out of three home games this season. If this culminates in the shootout sportsbooks expect, the Packers and Panthers should clear the 40-point threshold in Thursday's matchup.

Leg 3: Los Angeles Rams Moneyline (-290)

We close out our first parlay with a very straightforward selection. The Chargers are winless and now face a Rams team that, despite multiple injuries, is a solid favorite going into this contest (-6.5). We considered taking the points while it’s still less than a touchdown. Ultimately, taking the Rams to win outright is the more logical play.

If you're feeling ambitious and want to increase the profit on this parlay, you can certainly add Rams -6.5. For our purposes, we will take the Moneyline. The Rams took it to the Raiders on Sunday and held a commanding lead for most of the game. Matthew Stafford should lead his team to another win over the Chargers, their fourth of the season. The Chargers are averaging 15 points through six games - the lowest in the NFL.

Parlay Odds: +140

Early NFL Week 8 Parlay #2

Leg 1: Detroit Lions Team Total Under 31 Points (-340)

Our second parlay has one Moneyline bet and two legs focused on totals. As with the first parlay, we’re taking a more cautious approach, hoping to bring back a +200 profit. The Vikings are allowing just 10.6 points per game on the road this season. This should be a sweat-free option.

Minnesota is 6-0 and comes off an unexpected close battle against Indianapolis on Sunday. The Vikings remain one of the NFL’s most dominant defensive units. The task is tough this week, as they face one of the league’s highest-scoring teams. Minnesota has allowed just over 12 points per game through six games and has not given up more than 22 points in any contest this season.

Leg 2: New England Patriots Moneyline (-370)

The Miami Dolphins won their first game of the season on Sunday against the Jets. The Dolphins have had a rough start to the season. However, it was good to see the team finally get a win. Two wins in a row may be a lot to ask of Miami, and New England has won three of its last four games. The Patriots are 2-0 in the previous matchups against the Dolphins, dating back to last season.

Sunday marked Miami’s second 20+ point game. Drake Maye and New England have been flourishing offensively. Maye has thrown for 12 touchdowns and two interceptions over the last four games. A divisional matchup always comes with a narrative that the game will be close. That said, we don't think Miami can keep up with New England’s offense, which gives us confidence in the Patriots on the Moneyline.

Leg 3: Tennessee Titans-Cincinnati Bengals Under 47 Points (-110)

This will more than likely be the sweatiest leg of the entire parlay. And we are OK with that. At first glance, this doesn't look like a high-scoring affair. The stats reinforce that notion, as the total for this contest is largely predicted on only one team, the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals rank fourth in the NFL in scoring, averaging 27.2 points per game.

The Titans rank 31st in scoring, putting up only 15.4 points per game. Tennessee has scored 20+ points in two out of six games but has failed to cover 47 points in all but one. The Titans are averaging 17 points in three road contests.

Parlay Odds: +213
