It’s been one of those seasons this year. We’re 72-48, but rank 26,015 with 662 points via ESPN’s Pigskin Pick’Em. I’m really hoping to improve this week to get inside the top 20,000. Here are my NFL Week 9 confidence pool picks.

NFL Week 9 Confidence Pool Picks
(1) Giants | 49ers vs. Giants
Brock Purdy could actually return to the field this weekend. Mac Jones is also currently questionable. Don’t be surprised if the Giants sneak in a victory at home.
(2) Broncos | Broncos vs. Texans
The Broncos continue to find ways to win.
(3) Bills | Chiefs vs. Bills
The Bills need a statement win at home. They’ve impressed nobody to start the season. A win here will help.
(4) Bengals | Bears vs. Bengals
The Bengals will overcome a brutal loss to the Jets and stun the Bears at home. Joe Flacco is currently day-to-day and will more than likely play.
(5) Seahawks | Seahawks vs. Commanders
The Commanders are being extra cautious with Jayden Daniels. He’s practicing, but as we know, that doesn’t mean anything (cough, cough Ravens).
(6) Colts | Colts vs. Steelers
The Colts are potentially the most well-balanced team in the NFL. Let that sink in.
(7) Jaguars | Jaguars vs. Raiders
The Jaguars will regroup after two consecutive losses and a bye week. This team has a lot of talent and will bounce back against an inferior Raiders squad.
(8) Cowboys | Cardinals vs. Cowboys
Dallas’ defense looked abysmal on the road against Denver last week. On Monday Night Football, I’m not the most confident in Dallas, but Arizona can’t get out of its own way right now.
(9) Ravens | Ravens vs. Dolphins
A quarterback changes everything for a team. Lamar Jackson is back. That’s all I need to say.
(10) Patriots | Falcons vs. Patriots
We don’t even know if Michael Penix Jr. and Drake London will return for the Falcons this week - a hard pass.
(11) Lions | Vikings vs. Lions
There’s no chance I’m backing J.J. McCarthy in his first game back, after being benched with an ankle injury that lasted over a month.
(12) Packers | Panthers vs. Packers
The Panthers have had a fun season, but they’re not good enough to handle the top teams in the league.
(13) Chargers | Chargers vs. Titans
The Titans have allowed at least 31 points in back-to-back games. Don’t be surprised if the Chargers score that much in this one.
(14) Rams | Saints vs. Rams
The Saints are rolling with Tyler Shough at quarterback. It won’t matter. He was just as bad as Spencer Rattler when he came in for backup duties last week.
