Welcome to the Monday college basketball slate. March Madness is right around the corner, I can almost taste it. I've been on a bit of a cold streak of late, but that only means I'm due for a bounce back. There are some solid matchups today, but remember not to force any bets you don't love. There is still plenty of season left. Here are my best bets for Monday. Below is a closer look at Texas vs. Texas Tech.

Monday’s Best College Basketball Bets: Texas vs. Texas Tech
Past Week: 8-13-1
This Season: 72-74-6
Texas vs. Texas Tech
After the game they had this weekend, I'm surprised Texas isn't favored by 20 tonight in Lubbock.
But the 4/4.5 line is right. For every great game they have, the Longhorns are capable of a dud as well. Ranking 297th in the consistency metric, they aren't the most trustworthy team, and it's shown.
Texas Tech isn't the scary Red Raiders of the past this year, however. Sitting at 13-12, Mark Adams hasn't exactly been wizardly as Tech currently ranks 66th in KenPom and has a lot of work to do if they expect to make the NCAA Tournament. What they are known for is their interior defense, allowing fewer than half of the opponent’s points to come from inside the arc, forcing turnovers at a higher rate as well.
Tech has a renewed hatred for Texas after their coach left for the Longhorns, but their offense is quite bad, and I fully expect plenty of turnovers for the Red Raiders. I am not usually only betting over/unders, but I guess life is long enough to bet a few unders.
Play: Under 145.5 (-105 DraftKings)
