Kelsey Mitchell Under 4.5 Assists (+102)
On Sunday, Kelsey Mitchell dropped 38 points and dished out six assists, as her Fever defeated the Connecticut Sun in overtime. The performance marked the fifth time in seven games that Mitchell recorded at least five assists. Because of this, Mitchell's total is set at 4.5 tonight, even though she's averaging just 3.4 assists per game. This is the perfect time to get in on her under.
Mitchell's performance on Sunday was against the worst team in the league. Tonight, she'll take on the best. She's only faced the Lynx once this season, but in that contest, she managed just three assists. The Lynx are giving up the fewest assists per game this season, so I don't see Mitchell having much more success tonight than she did in that game. The over being favored by as much as it is feels like an overreaction to recent performances. Back the under at this great price.
Paige Bueckers Over 19.5 Points (-102)
On Wednesday, Paige Bueckers exploded for a career-high 44 points. The performance marked her first 30-point game since she dropped 35 against the Mercury on June 11th. While tonight's total may be slightly higher than it should be because of her most recent performance, I'm still confident in her continuing to play at the high level that she has been.
Since the All-Star break, Bueckers has scored at least 14 points in every game. Additionally, she has dropped at least 20 points in six out of 11 contests. Though she has struggled against the Storm this season, she only played 27 minutes in her last game against them, and her first meeting with the Storm was just the second game of her career. Bueckers has found her rhythm as a pro, and with this number set right at her season average, it's hard not to like the over for a solid price.
Satou Sabally Under 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (+104)
Satou Sabally has made two three-pointers in back-to-back games. One of those contests was against the same Valkyries team that she will face tonight. However, the under feels like the right play for a couple of reasons.
First, Sabally is averaging just 1.6 made threes per game. She's made more than three threes in just one game this season, so she has a very low ceiling entering this game. Second, the Valkyries have the third-best three-point defense in the league. They're allowing opponents to make just 31.9% of their attempts from beyond the arc, even if opponents are averaging nine makes per game.
Finally, Sabally already has one game this season where she failed to make more than one three-pointer against the Valyries. She only attempted two in that contest, compared to six in her most recent meeting with the team, but it proves she will need to put up a lot of shots to hit this over.
