While that result will worry some bettors, I think the performance showed a lot of potential for this horse. Golden Tempo sat well off the pace in that race, and when he made his move, he had plenty left in the tank. Unfortunately for him, his move came just too late to win. This isn’t a horse with much winning potential, but with the ability to run fast late, he could pick off fading horses and sneak into third or fourth.
